Gearing up for Spring Recruitment!! |
Dear Brothers, Updates from the UAA and HC to kick off 2025! Check out the recording and minutes from the recent House Corp meeting on Dec. 8th for an extensive update of the recently reworked Shelter renovation plan with RPI, and the recruitment timeline for the next year. Check out the full HC meeting recording here. HC meeting minutes are also available to view here. In order to maximize our recruitment efforts next year, the UAA is launching a fundraising campaign to support the first 20 bids signed by prospective members during the upcoming Spring Rush. The award for each prospective brother will go towards their house bill for the following Fall and Spring semesters, making their housing costs substantially lower than any other on-campus housing options.
The UAA is coordinating with House Corp and the National Fraternity to support the effort to bring a new class of Upsilon Delts to Sunset Terrace. We need your help. If you can be on campus at any point during the spring semester, and would like to help repopulate the chapter, please contact Jason. The UAA is your conduit to be formally included in the recruitment program. You'll be working directly with Fluke and the recruitment consultants. Be part of the reactivation legacy--Rush face!

| UAA Recruitment Fundraising Campaign:
We Need The Dudes!! |
Our goal is to provide additional incentives to attract new members, recognizing the substantial effort and time they will be committing to re-seeding and growing the chapter as superneos. To that end, this fundraising campaign aims to raise funds to defray 25% of the year one house bill for each of the first 20 new members (bids signed). 20 Bids x $2500 = $50,000 fundraising goal - Annual housing costs are estimated to be just under $10,000 (RPI amount).
-
Help defray ~25% or $2500 scholarship award per new member for the effort to help restart the chapter.
- Alumni can sponsor a bid ($2500) individually, or link up with other alumni to sponsor a bid as a group.
-
Any funds exceeding the $50,000 goal will go towards general reactivation and social events.
- Funds raised as part of this campaign will remain in UAA “coffers” until house renovations are complete ahead of Fall 2025 semester move-in.
-
In the event of insufficient recruitment numbers, donations can be reimbursed or earmarked for other efforts by direction of giver.

Upsilon Delts Recruiting Kickoff
|
|
|
Brothers,
We're excited to announce that Upsilon Delts journey back to active status starts in just one week! The UAA is working together with the national organization, RPI, and Upsilon House Corp to facilitate a successful re-population of 133 Sunset Terrace.
The UAA will be your conduit to the recruitment effort the entire way. Coming later this week we'll send out the full rush calendar (schedule of events) the consultants will be holding throughout the entire rush period, pledge education, and initiation. The calendar will notate key dates where we're asking alumni to join the effort.
We need your help! Through your donations to the recruitment campaign, we can ensure the new Upsilon brothers have a leg up while they rebuild the chapter. Having that support is a huge boon to our recruitment efforts.
In addition to your donations--we need volunteers that can make it to Troy for rush and chapter initiation. We received a great response from our plea in the last newsletter, I hope more of you make the decision to join in the effort! Email me here to ~ up.
The consultants have asked us for Troy restaurant and activities recommendations. Please share your recommendations with us, and we'll pass them along to the consultants. As I said the full calendar will be sent later this week but here are the key dates: - January 13th - Rush Begins
- January 29th - Final Bid Day / Formal Recruiting End
- January 31st - Brotherhood Event
- February 3rd - Informal Recruitment Begins
- February 13th - Pledging Ceremony
You can read about the chapter consultants below. More updates to come soon. yf, Jason Gerrish (Herpes '02) UAA President |

As we reactivate Upsilon and renovate the Shelter in 2025, your financial, expertise and volunteering support is most appreciated!!! The UAA has been created to strengthen the Delt community by providing face to face and virtual events, provide a communication platform for the Alumni, and importantly, provide continuity and separation from RPI. Your tax-deductible donation is appreciated, and eligible for corporate-matching via Benevity. Also, please consider how you can get involved directly in a UAA role in 2025. Please contact us for more info.
